For the last 30 years Lars Tunbjörk has been non-judgmentally documenting a consumer society in which globalization is reflected in all-pervading commercialization. "I love Borås!" is inspired by his native town and by Sweden in the 1990s. Lars Tunbjörk sees the world as a colourful reality and attempts to give form to its consistencies and inconsistencies. Tunbjörk's hyperrealism is a kind of democratic photography : everything must be represented… He gives ugliness, vulgarity and banality the same importance as things that are selective, sober and exclusive.
