Erwin Blumenfeld
4 November 2008 - 17 January 2009Erwin Blumefeld was born in Berlin in 1897 and died in Rome in 1969. He lived in Holland and France, then in the US, where he became oine of the most popular and influential photographers of the 20th century. His great fashion photographs bear the influence of Dadaism from the 1920s and 1930s. He worked for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Look, Cosmopolitan and Life. As well as fashion photos the exhibition includes a selection of European publications on the artists who influenced his approach.
