Initiated into the visual arts by his father, Roland Laboye gained his knowledge of painting at the Goya Museum in Castres. Winner of the Recherche Photographique de Royan award and the Prix Niépce, he has exhibited alongside August Sander, Tony Ray-Jones, Boubat and Doisneau. For twenty years he has been in charge of photography in Montpellier where he continues his joyful pursuit of images.
