Patrick Zachmann has often taken black and white photographs at night. The world of the night, its seedy side and its underworld, have always been a source of inspiration to him. "The city, ugly and grey during the day, becomes attractive or sometimes frightening at night". In this work, there is no single subject and it tells no story beyond that of his forays into the night. His pictures do not provide an account of the life of the city at night; instead they conjure up certain special film-like atmospheres that have influenced Zachmann.
Organized in collaboration with Magnum Photos and in partnership with Circad, Dupon and Fujifilm.
