Lin Delpierre travels the world taking photographs of women passing by, oscillating between presence and absence, opacity and transparency. The thick fur coats of women in Moscow, sudden flashes of colour from Latin dresses, the softness of a kimono, the lightness of a sari…these 'fabric variations' change and interfere with our perception of space - of the space represented by the artist. Little by little, what might have been seen as a 'setting' becomes a landscape. Captured in motion, the undulations of these women are never frozen: they are presented as leaving their marks in space.
