"For a long time Anne-Marie Filaire has concentrated on recording forms produced by the presence of time in the landscape, as well as the movements that can be perceived there". Jean-Marc Besse, Les Marques du territoire. For 10 years Anne-Marie Filaire worked in border zones marked by conflict or in cultures such as Islam where time plays an essential role in Man's relationship with the world. She chooses to explore stricken areas where time escapes and cultures where the relationship to space is linked to the divine and to an atomistic form of the universe. Today she focuses on the Dragonja valley in Slovenia, observing that the passage of time is no longer the same in Slovenia and Croatia.
