The Roméo Martinez library is an open stack library specialising in photography as an art form. Its focus and the number of items it holds (24,000 books and 1,400 periodicals) make it the only library of its kind in the world. For researchers and photo buffs alike, it provides access to a vast range of photographic publications from all over the world. Although it concentrates mainly on contemporary photography, a selection of key titles published before 1958 are also available for consultation.

This selection presents the monographs of McDermott & McGough, Sabine Weiss and Göksin Sipahioglu, available at the library
