The Roméo Martinez is an open-stack library focusing on photography as an art form. Its specialisation and the number of publications available (24,000 books and 1,400 periodicals) make it a resource that is unique in the entire world. It offers researchers and lovers of photography a vast repository of international photography publications. Although chiefly devoted to contemporary photography, a selection of major works published before 1958 is also available.
