Hogan and Amblard
"Meurtres au Musée"

Melissa Hogan, American born in 1936, and Patrick Amblard, French born in 1959, live in Geneva and work together. They have re-interpreted the history of photography under the famous name of P.H. Hoblargan, whose first Album 1855-1885 and the last Album 1885 - 1923 were successively presented in 1988 and 1990 at the Michèle Chomette Gallery.

After this ironic homage to great masters of the past through a fictitious identity, their fantasy goes even further in the territories encouraged by contemporary art. From one exhibition to the other, strange and angry characters pursue each other in the empty and ceremonious rooms of museums, their silent duel always ending in a murder on cibachrome.

The exhibit presents the works of the series "Meurtres au Musée" (Murders in the museum) of the collection of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie.
