Dana Lixenberg — American Images

American Images is the most extensive exhibition to date devoted to the Dutch artist (b. 1964), who divides her time between Amsterdam and the United States, offering a nuanced perspective on her adopted country. Known for her stripped-down portraits of cultural icons and marginalized communities, Lixenberg works with a large-format camera, fostering an intimate exchange with her subjects and capturing their essence with empathy.

This exhibition is a co-production with

La photographie en toutes lettres

What do adolescence, fairy tales, eggs, and museums have in common? They all have a unique relationship with photography. La photographie en toutes lettres, developed in partnership with the Neuflize OBC corporate collection, is part of the bicentenary celebrations of the invention of the medium. The exhibition takes the form of a lexicon which provides an unexpected reading, combining both major and minor narratives.

In collaboration with Neuflize OBC and with the support of the Neuflize OBC Foundation

Camille Vivier

The MEP presents the first major exhibition devoted to French photographer Camille Vivier. For twenty-five years, her practice has been situated between fashion commissions for leading magazines and personal artistic research focused on the body and still life. The exhibition reveals a body of work that intertwines sensuality, mystery, and poetry, questioning the relationship between the human body and artefacts.

PENN & FASHION

The exhibition PENN & FASHION presents the career of Irving Penn (1917– 2009) through the lens of fashion. One of the most influential photographers of the twentieth century, Penn revolutionised fashion photography and influenced entire generations of photographers. His collaboration with Vogue magazine, which spanned close to sixty years, allowed him to pursue a unique body of work that defied convention and often went far beyond fashion itself. From his iconic images of the 1950s to his colour work of the 2000s, his work is that of an artist who was always ahead of his time.
