After seven years of intense and dynamic artistic collaboration, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) announces the conclusion of the Director Simon Baker’s tenure.
Throughout his tenure, Simon Baker contributed to the profound renewal of the institution’s programming, fostering a spirit of openness, artistic excellence, and dialogue with contemporary issues. He placed a strong emphasis on both renowned figures in photography and a new generation of French and international artists. His vision, expertise, and passion for photography have given a decisive impetus to the institution’s artistic direction.
The MEP and its Board of Directors convey their best wishes for the next stage of his career.
The MEP now opens a new chapter, true to its commitment to contemporary photographic creation. Pending the appointment of a new director, interim leadership will be assumed by Caroline Miller, Executive Director of the MEP, with Clothilde Morette ensuring the continuity of programming and artistic direction.
