Tyler Mitchell

Tyler Mitchell is an American artist, photographer, and filmmaker, born in 1995 in Atlanta. He lives and works in New York. In 2018, at just 23 years old, he made history as the first Black photographer to shoot a cover for Vogue US, with a series of portraits of Beyoncé. Since then, he has developed numerous collaborations within the fashion world, where he has created his own visual language—a blend of softness and wonder—that also permeates his personal work. His works are held in prestigious institutions such as the High Museum of Art (Atlanta), the Brooklyn Museum, LACMA (Los Angeles), and the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston).
