Scott – Fragile Face Lay Flat ; edition limitée à 250 exemplaires numérotés

To create Fragile Face Lay Flat, the photographer and stylist, Venetia Scott cast her eyes back upon the past twelve years of her work, cropping into photographs drawn from her archive of fashion editorials and campaigns so that only the faces of the models remained. The resulting portraits stand apart from their original context, drawing attention to the strong and distinctive gaze of each girl.   Scott developed the idea for this work when blowing up parts of her images. She noticed that, whilst detail is lost in the zoom, a new quality arises – one that draws you in. The portraits are beautifully eerie, looking as if they might have been taken from missing person files. The face of each girl captivates the viewer but stops short of telling us everything we might want to know.
