La MEP accueille le projet international « How We See : Photobooks by Women » initié par les Éditions 10X10 Photobooks.
“How We See : Photobooks by Women” se présente à la fois sous la forme d’une salle de lecture éphémère, d’un catalogue et d’une série de manifestations publiques autour de cent livres photo de femmes photographes du XXIe siècle venues du monde entier.
Après des installations à New York, Buenos Aire, Boston et Pittsburgh, la MEP présente dans sa bibliothèque l’ensemble des cent livres.
Un événement interactif, conçu de telle sorte que les visiteurs puissent librement découvrir tous les livres de l’installation.
Parmi les nombreuses artistes dont les livres sont exposés citons, entre autres, Laia Abril, Ying Ang, Olivia Arthur, Sophie Calle, Xiaoyi Chen, Zoe Croggon, Cristina de Middel, Laura El-Tantawy, Abigail Heyman, Hannah Höch, Dragana Jurisc, Kristina Jurotschkin, Pixy Liao, Susan Meiselas, Zanele Muholi, Yurie Nagashima, Catherine Opie, Maya Rochat, Guadalupe Ruiz, Eva Saukane, Collier Schorr, Ketaki Sheth, Lieko Shiga, Dayanita Singh, Mitra Tabrizian et Carrie Mae Weems.

On the occasion of Paris Photo, the MEP proposes a special programme devoted to “photo publications”.
With its vast collection of more than 30,000 reference works and 400 magazines dedicated to photography, as well as its spacious new bookshop, the MEP highlights its desire to promote photography books and magazines, both as the medium’s preferred mode of diffusion since its inception, and as an area of freedom and inventiveness for emerging artists.
The accent here is placed on the role of women in photographic publications, with invitations to several bold actions and projects.
The MEP is delighted to welcome the international project “How We See: Photobooks by Women” initiated by 10×10 Photobooks.
“How We See: Photobooks by Women” is at once a hands-on reading room, a publication and a series of public events featuring a global range of one hundred 21st-century photobooks by women photographers.
After installations in New York, Buenos Aires, Boston and Pittsburgh, the MEP presents all one hundred books from the selection in its library.
This interactive event was designed to allow visitors to easily discover all the books in the installation.
